 Unprecedented in my lifetime, the ethos of the United States military is returning to lethality.

No more State Department idiots and 'peaceniks' weaseling back room deals, resulting in truces or armistices.

More than fifty-six thousand United States soldiers, airmen, sailors and marines lost in Vietnam; the inglorious 1975 evacuation from Saigon is a permanent stain on our country.

My father, Staff Sergeant Daw, as a special operator in Vietnam, performed his duty with bravery and honor in numerous firefights and enemy assaults.

That includes his gallantry in action during the Tet Offensive in January, 1968.

Darkness was falling as ARVN soldiers, lead by SSG Daw, hunkered down for the night in an abandoned orphanage, serving as an FOB on the FEBA (forward edge of the battle area).

 SSG Daw's soldiers suddenly came under intense indirect fire (mortars) and subsequent small arms fire that dark evening of  30 January, signalling the beginning of one of the deadliest battles in modern warfighting history.

   January 31, 1968, remains the deadliest single day of the war, with 246 U.S. troops killed in action.  

SSG Daw's FOB was being assaulted by a battalion sized enemy element, composed of both Viet Cong and NVA.  

With total support by China. 

From the Bubonic Plague...

... to a genetic alteration of a SARS virus in Wuhan...

... to its war on Christians, China remains our number one enemy.

One of SSG Daw's ARVN soldiers suffered a mortar round squarely on the head (!). 

  The much-less-dense human skull was insufficient to detonate the explosive, saving dozens.

God acquired a new warrior in Heaven, while sparing the lives of many...

... including Staff Sergeant Ted Daw. 

SSG Daw, equipped with the most advanced tactical field radio, the AN/PRC-77, bent down to access the controls in order to request artillery fire, relating his coordinates to the FDC (fire direction center).

As President Trump credits God's intervention at Butler, PA, my father always gives gratitude to our Father in Heaven for lowering his head to access the radio, just as a 50 caliber tracer round screamed inches over his head.

He subsequently grabbed an M-60 machine gun, rate of fire 800 rpm with 7.62mm rounds, and provided egress for his soldiers.

His ammo bearers kept the seamless feeding of numerous belts of ammo; synchronous machine gun crews are a reflection of  well trained infantry soldiers.

They unleashed death-dealing 30 caliber rounds, providing enough kinetic energy for clearing the battlefield and many, many casualties.

Hundreds of Viet Cong and NVA soldiers paid the price.

SSG Daw's Silver Star's narrative indicates that he and another soldier saved dozens of lives with their provision of egress, resulting in 245 of the enemy killed or captured.

Yes, Martha, like President Trump's narrow escape from certain death.

I, too, thank God for His protection of my father.

  My sister, Dawn, would not be one of my two beautiful siblings otherwise...

... two years later in Columbia, TN, where Sergeant First Class Daw was part of an outstanding cadre at the prestigious Columbia Military Academy.

And, most importantly,

My father's Silver Star was not awarded to him posthumously...

Saigon was a portent of the future, 46 years later, when Braindead Biden and the flock of POS traitors and liberals surrounding him left thirteen soldiers dead at Abbey Gate .

Demoncrats are, indeed, the spawn of the Prince of Persia; they care little of the deaths of our heroes, as they are infected with Persian evil.

Unshackled from the overbearing constriction and disdain for the military, held by the Democrats since 1947 - thanks, Harry Truman - the 47th CINC, President Donald Trump, will restore that lethality.

My boss, President Ronald Reagan, cleaned up the mess in CONUS left by his predecessor, Jimmy Carter.

Outside the continental United States, however, not so much.

 Carter gave China a huge present by handing over the Panama Canal to a leftist thug, Omar Torrijos...

... and the loss of Fort Sherman.

... and the Jungle Operations Training Center, where my father was the second highest ranking NCO in the Southern Hemisphere.

Fort Sherman also served as Southern Command Headquarters.

As I was commissioned in 1977, it was Carter who signed it.  To his credit, it was not an autopen signature...

No one thought those monsters could be brought to heel; The Peacemaker In Chief, shielded by God himself, engineered a most remarkable coalition of nations.

Operation Midnight Hammer and the destruction of the Iranian nuclear program  - which Obama and Biden financed - cleared the field for true peace in the Middle East.

President Donald Trump is demonstrating President Reagan's approach, and endorsed by the Rough Rider himself...

I  never thought my boss, President Ronald Reagan, would be supplanted by President Donald Trump as the best president in my lifetime.

The Peace Maker in Chief has arbitrated an end to 8 global conflicts, at least for now.

Both of these studs survived assassination attempts, with President Reagan quipping to the trauma surgical team:

 The lush and dense jungles found on Hawaii (The Big Island) provided intense and gruelling training in order to survive in the jungles of Vietnam.

One of my favorite photos from the Family Album shows my father after SGT Daw had rappelled down a volcano shaft on Mount Kilauea.

Yes, Martha, she was dormant...

The J.O.T.C. in Hawaii was second only to the nation's premier jungle training center in Panama...

Years later, after intense infantry training, two tours in Vietnam, a stint as an instructor at the prestigious Columbia Military Academy and selected by DoD to spearhead the efforts to diminish the lethality of the military by the integration of the WAC's with their male counterparts (!) -

-  Sergeant Major Ted Daw was selected as Commandant of the NCO Academy at Fort Sherman, Panama. 

Regarding the Women's Army Corps dissolution:

   A soldier has an oath to follow orders; Master Sergeant Daw followed these onerous and inexplicable orders as senior NCO at Fort McClellan, AL.

Separated from his family in Chattanooga, due to my and my incredible Mother's  enrollment at UTC, First Sergeant Daw came home on weekends. 

For years. 

My father and all Special Operations soldiers make incredible sacrifices.

Many make the ultimate sacrifice.
